TUESDAY 11TH SEPTEMBER - PEA SHOOTS!?!

Pea shoots?
What does Pea shoot?
Read on.
'Pea shoots' amongst the salad leaves in the shop.
What an idea........... so had to buy some.
Imaginative marketing there.
Great idea to eat as much of the plant as possible.
They are really quite good.

Mmmmm, pea shoots. Such a summery thing.

I was drawn here by 'kissa'. My wife is Finnish you see. As a child she had a cat named 'Kissa' [yes, very creative naming a cat 'cat'.] What inspires your interest in Suomi, I wonder. We spent last summer there and loved it, what a beautiful place.

How do you eat them.

Is Kissa a Finnish name? I love Finnish people. They're very smart.

josie-like any salad leaves. Kissa means cat in Finnish.

benjibopper - my love of Finland, its people and lifestyle began 8 years ago on a business trip! I have visited many times since then and it has got under my skin. It is a fabulous place to spend time especially in a cottage by a lake with sauna etc just like the Finns. We now have many friends there. Can I say more? I am tryng to learn the language, now that is dedication.

aha, so cool, a fellow finnophile. in fact i miss the cottage by the lake with daily sauna, heated by yours truly with my own axe blazing through chords of wood. i learned a little of the language, enough to order makarra and mustard.

I hope I have translated this correctly and that my answer is appropriate. Oops sorry if its not!

well, i hope i wrote it correctly, but it was supposed to be past tense, as in 'i had a very fun time.' the mistake may have been mine. hehe, two non-finns trying to communicate with finnish words. funny.
