WEDNESDAY 12TH MARCH - feel good factor

A friend gave me this little bunch of camellias from her garden.
That felt so good. Thank you.
P. made this scrumptious Jamie Oliver Chocolate pie. Eaten with clotted cream it was rich and indulgent. This felt wickedly decadent. Thank you.

P. is a very good chef and he made two of these pies and we gave one to a friend for her birthday. She was delighted. That felt good too well even better actually.

Camelias from the garden? Already? My goodness! You're even ahead of Vancouver.

That cakes looks absolutely scrumptious. I know what I'm going to be craving ALL DAY now. :-)

Yes, as Josie says, you're WAY ahead of us here in the floral dept.

Just looked at your previous post about the storm! Wow! Fantastic shots of a big storm. Hope the roof is okay.

josie:some of the camelias are over now it has been a strange spring this year. The pie was so yummy.
leslie: British weather is so changeable this latest lot was to do with the jet stream as apparently it had a surge known as jet streak. My roof was fine but a friend called in earlier and she has lots of tiles blown off her roof, hen house flattened and boat upended!

Have just had a quick browse through your delightful blog - I've always had a soft spot for south Cornwall and at the moment I can't think of anything better than a slice of that delicious-looking chocolate cake and a No 1 Ladies Detective Agency book. Sounds just the ticket for a cold, wet, windy afternoon.

Thank you for visiting my blog - I liked your doggerell comment. xx

Those camelias look beautiful (as does the cake!) Thanks for your comment on my blog. I have really enjoyed catching up with yours too. I enjoyed seeing your pictures of Loch Etive. It's a beautiful place and I have fond memories of visiting it on my honeymoon 10 years ago.

taiga the fox:I remember visiting Finland for the first time at the end of May when it seemed your Spring was happening then. Cornwall is always before the rest of the UK something to do with the Gulf Stream!
